I retired July 2021 after running my airport limo service for close to 10 years.
Before that I was in the mechanical engineering field after getting my degree in Denmark in 1972 and my big "thing" has always been designing and building - "if you can't buy it, you make it" !
Solar tracking E-W fixed N-S at 33 degrees.
Solar panels on single axis designed with tracking systems can generate 30% more electricity since they follow the position of the sun. More electricity production is especially helpful if you're on a variable electricity rate plan (like time-of-use). More power generation means you need fewer panels.
Easy removal of panels if hurricane is threatening. It took us less then one hour (my helper and me) and all panels were down safe. It's a strong setup but so is the wind of a hurricane, better safe than sorry and make sure we have power at all times, especially after a hurricane !!
My electric bill is all I have to look at - it makes me sooo happy.
